Polymeric medical devices (catheters, needles) of the LED UV light-cured

Polymeric medical devices, such as intravenous catheter needle, intravenous catheter, interventional auxiliary equipment, bleeding nose bolt and so on, use medical polymer materials, so different materials need to address the problems of bonding, such as PC-silica gel, PC-stainless steel and so on. In high-performance polymeric medical devices, many of the use of UV light curing glue, such as LOCTITE, 3M and others have medical certification level of the glue.

Properties of polymers need low-temperature, low-intensity. Case # 1: curing of intravenous catheter system

A large medical device company plans to produce mass of various intravenous catheter systems, in need of bonding stainless steel needle catheter and PC, as well as PC and PC catheter. Case # 2: conveyor bulk medical catheter

A large medical manufacturer of special medical catheter currently used several high-power UV light curing equipment, to do medical catheter curing adhesive. Feedback: Power consumption is large and temperatures are high, yellow glue, large size and can not be integrated into larger processes, as well as issues such as cleanliness.

Analysis: Customers use UV glue and actual requirements of the energy is not high, about 1200-1500mJ/cm2, and the size of products are small. Polymeric materials under high temperature deformation easily lead to a higher failure rate.

Solution: The GOOD ST LED UV Curing System, total 80W power consumption, around 1200-1500mJ/cm2, the temperature can be controlled under 5 degrees.
